Dustin has been a professional financial advisor for over 18 years and is an expert in mentoring and leadership. Throughout his career, he has held several senior leadership positions in corporate America working to develop advisors, staff, business growth strategies, budgets, and more. Dustin is currently the President of U-Vest® Financial, a Florida-based, independent financial advisory firm with offices in Georgia and Alabama. He has also held positions in numerous local and state boards for various non-profits in the community including the Young Professional Chair for Chamber of Commerce, Local President of NAIFA, State Chair position for NAIFA, Finance Council at his church and Head of Committee Council at his church. Though Dustin has served on many different boards and non-profits, he says serving on The Ranch Athletics Club has been the most fun and meaningful board to date.
He, his wife, Ana, and their three kids have been a part of the Starkey Ranch community since September 2017. His oldest son currently plays football and basketball at Starkey Ranch and his youngest daughter is in early elementary. He will have student athletes involved with Starkey Ranch for years to come. When Dustin isn’t working, coaching at the YMCA, serving his church, or keeping up with his kids, he enjoys working out, barbecuing with family and friends, and playing golf.
Dustin’s passion for helping with TRAC stems from being raised by a teacher and experiencing his wife working as a teacher. He realizes how much time, passion, energy, and dedication the staff at Starkey K-8 put in and he wants to help lighten their load through TRAC’s fundraising and volunteer efforts.

Matt Van Daele
Matt is part of the inaugural staff at Starkey Ranch where he serves as the Behavior Specialist and Athletic Director. He has been serving in Pasco County for over 12 years and has been heavily involved in various school athletics programs working as a Football Coach, Basketball Coach and Athletic Director.
He brings a wealth of knowledge to Starkey Ranch from his years coaching at the collegiate, high school and middle school levels. Matt understands the Starkey Ranch community has a unique opportunity where families and students can be involved in the athletic program for potentially 9 years. His goal for the athletic department is to build a family within the Starkey Ranch community and prepare students for high school and collegiate athletics.
Matt’s passion for sports started at the age of 7, where his father served as his football coach. He understands the importance of communication between student athletes, coaches and families that foster an atmosphere of respect, personal accountability, and discipline.
He is excited to work with the TRAC and the Starkey Ranch families to give student athletes a one-of-a-kind experience while participating in middle school athletics.
Alex Connors
Alex grew up in the Tampa Bay area, and has lived in Starkey Ranch with his wife Alison, and their 2 daughters since 2019.
He believes in the power of education, and wants to do his part in creating a sports program that can help develop our Starkey Ranch K-8 student athletes, and be a building block towards their future successes.

Amy, her husband, and their two daughters moved to Starkey in August of 2021. Her oldest
daughter played volleyball, basketball, and soccer for the Red Hawks last year and plans on
adding track this year. Amy’s youngest daughter is excited to try out for the different athletic
programs this year since she is in 6 th grade. When she is not cheering on her children in their
different activities, she enjoys watching college football and basketball and taking her dog, Rue
on long walks.
Amy is excited to be a part of TRAC since she still has a passion for education. She knows
teaching is never easy and wants to help find ways to make their jobs a little easier.

As someone who has been involved in organized sports since middle school into college years and in adult leagues playing multiple sports, Rachel jumped at the opportunity to be a part of The Ranch Athletics Club. She looks forward to building the club’s membership so that we, as a community, can support our athletics program way into the future.
